MEET “ERGO AMY”
Hi! I’m Amy… aka Ergo Amy :)
Ergonomics is my passion!
I’ve been working in the “ergo world” since 2005. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University (go Tigers!), and a MS in Human Factors/ Ergonomics from San Jose State University. I am a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), and have conducted thousands of ergonomic evaluations in so many environments I could talk about it for hours.
My favorite part of ergonomics is training. I believe that you can give people all the fancy products you want, but if they don't understand them and aren’t using them correctly, that they won’t do any good! The important thing is understanding the factors that cause discomfort and injuries and recognizing how you can do your job safer.
